Comprehensive book editing involves the Editing Queen processing your manuscript one line at a time. The process combines line editing and structural editing. She will identify problems and your manuscript will be polished and sharpened.
However, there’s more to a comprehensive book edit than just identifying narrative issues or bad transitions. The Editing Queen will, in addition to correcting mistakes, give you an explanation as to the reason for the correction, in order to help you learn from your mistakes.
- During the line edit, we will correct any grammatical errors and typos, but our main focus is on improving the language and strength of your story. She will track changes to allow you to either accept of reject changes individually.
- During the structural edit, the Editing Queen will provide detailed feedback on areas that could use revision, for instance, scenes that could be cut or enhanced, or correcting dialogue. Again, she will provide suggestions on how you can improve your work via comments.
Your Editor’s Report will focus on ways in which you can improve your manuscript and grow as a writer. It’s not only about issues, but also about ways in which you can correct it.
Once the comprehensive book editing process is complete, you will have to revise your manuscript. This will be your opportunity to consider suggested changes and comments. The Editing Queen’s aim is to inspire you to reach the next level in your writing career.
